The building consists of a 4 bedroom duplex, a 3 bedroom duplex and 2 bedroom unit with amenities above. There is a sectional quality in this interlocked spatial composition allowing for a back to back light wells that cuts in light through the middle of the mass. One light well brings the light from the roof to the ground-floor duplex and the other shaft lights the first-floor duplex.
This apartment residence is laid on a 4m by 5m grid of columns. This particular span allowed for a flat-slab system that freed the building from all beams. In addition, this structural system provided the design freedom for the placement/replacement of walls and openings in the elevation. The result is a three stories three apartments building wrapped with a free façade. The colors in the façade emphasizes planes over mass. An interplay of exposed columns, exposed slabs, and free walls sets the tone for overall atmosphere of the projects.
